Frigidaire Flair Manual

I came across the old manual to our dearly departed Frigidaire Flair recently.  Before shipping it off to the new owner of our stove I scanned the manual, thinking it could be a resource for all of the Flair enthusiasts out there.  Click here to download.  Enjoy!

I have a Custom Imperial Flair for sale. Double ovens, rotissarie, ventilation system…etc. Works well, clean, and it is looking for a new home. I love this stove/oven and you will too! I am remodeling my kitchen. I will sell it for $450 OBO. The unit is in Central Oregon.

I have one of these beauties. It is very clean but needs a little repair. Three burners work, the right rear does not. Also the right hand oven doesn’t seem to work. I have not used it personally but tried the elements before removing it. I am in San Francisco area and want this to have a new home. Photos sent at your request. $300. Donna Reed thanks you.

Thank you so much for posting the PDF of the manual. It talks about a fuse and that is all I needed to change out for everything to work. It is great to have the manual along with such a fantastic appliance. Again, I appreciate the time you took to post this.

Did anyone find a manual for this type of Fridgidair stove? I have one that is complete but the larger oven will not come on and the smaller one only heats to 100. Have two smaller units for parts but am needing at least one oven to work correctly

As I was on the verge of buying a new unit, I’ll share my experience. My larger oven, too, wouldn’t come on – this was because I’d accidentally nudged the control knob, moving it away from MAN (aka “manual”). As I’d disconnected the clock mechanism years ago (due to excess noise), the non-manual setting never got enabled. The symptoms are that the red light would not come on (nor would the oven heat) AND the electrical outlet in front lost power too.

Switching back to MAN saved me a massive amount of hassle.

Posting this just in case anyone else did the same stupid thing I did….

    Hi,

Our Flair has finally reached the end of its serviceable life. It currently sits atop a cabinet. Does anyone have installation instructions or advice on how to remove it? My best guess right now is that it isn’t very movable because it is made of very heavy materials and simply weighs a ton, so I am expecting it can be lifted off the top of the cabinet and isn’t attached to the wall. Any advice is most welcome. Thanks.

    • Bob Bruckert says:

If you have a the metal cabinet that is for the range, inside the cabinet underneath the range is a bolt on the right side and another one under the left side the range is attached there to the cabinet,. then the range can be lifted off and it does weigh a ton. You are correct, 4 BIG men can lift it off and sit it on a dolly it is not easy. This one was not attached to the wall either just very heavy

My RCIB-645-2 Flair double oven range sits on top of a built-in wood cabinet. It is at the end of its life and I want to remove it. I do not see any bolts through the cabinet from underneath as you describe as with the metal cabinet base. Is there any other location where it would be attached, or should I assume that it is just sitting unattached?

In need of small and large broiler element for RC1-645VN Frigidare Flair Range

Bob, Can you advise me on how to separate the broiler element from the clips? Thanks,

      • Alda M Draper says:

Afraid not! A repairman cut his eye and got a bad knot on his head 01/03/2018 trying to get the element out of our range. This occurred when we moved the range out of our built-cabinet onto saw horses. The saw horses crumbled under the weight of the stove. They were supposed to be the best A local big box had. We are blessed the man wasn’t hurt any worse. The range was destroyed when it hit the floor. Good luck. Our range lasted us 49 yrs. We wish we could have bought another one, but had to settle for the traditional range and rework the kitchen cabinets.

Hello, I am having a problem with my 40″ Frigidaire Customer Imperial oven. On the small oven side (which is the one I use 95% of the time, the broiler element suddenly stopped working. The light still comes on when I turn it to broil, but the element does not get hot. I notice there are 6 Phillips head screws to remove, but I am not sure how to remove the broiler element from the “clips”. Can anyone assist? I have found a used element, but do not want to order it before I can remove the old element. Thanks, in advance for any help! Steve / Dayton OHIO (about 2 miles from where the stove was originally manufactured.)
