Yummy/Yucky Pt. 2

Bibs 2

Another Baby pressie down. This time I tackled garlic and an apple. 10 Little Rubber Ducks was my book choice this time, where Eric Carle takes an actual incident when numerous bathtub toys fell off a container ship and floated to various places, and distills it to create a marvelous counting/concept adventure. This reminds me that the next time I am out in 413 I need to visit the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art.

Angel

I carried on a family tradition this past Christmas by putting this angel on top of our Christmas tree with her customary hat. Don’t ask about the sombrero.

Bibs

We have a lot of baby presents to catch up on for friends and family. Here are the first few bibs that I made over the weekend. I got bunch of brightly colored bibs at Target that are plastic backed to prevent baby mess. It is actually really hard to find bibs that don’t already have a design on it. Sublime Stitching has lots of cool designs and some bigger bibs for sale. My book choice was The Peace Book by Todd Parr.  It is quite a sweet explanation of the concept of Peace with bright simple illustrations and meaningful words.

Mud

So, when LBJ was in Israel in September he brought me back some Ahava Dead Sea Body products. Apparently some people stop in Tel Aviv just for a trip to the duty free shops to buy some. I’ve tried them all and love them, but I was saving the Body Mud for a special occasion. He is back in Jerusalem on a business trip so I decided to try it in honor of his absence. BAD IDEA! My bathroom is now covered in mud and I can’t tell you how silly I felt covered in dirt as I waited the 10 minutes for it to dry. I was paranoid that I was going to drop dead and be found covered in mud in my hot pink bathroom.
