Cotton Pickin’

cotton
When were were in Arkansas recently we came across some cotton near some old farm equipment. I grabbed some seeds and am going to attempt to grow it in New England in the spring. First Watermelon, Now Cotton . . . I think I am setting myself for failure.

We were in a swampy area and looked for the Lord God Bird. The ivory-billed woodpecker, last seen in 1944, was supposedly rediscovered nearby. No luck. I was hoping to sell some images to the world, since no one has successfully photographed it yet.

The other exciting thing we did was go to the new Clinton Library. It was very well done and focused on Hope, since Bill was born in Hope, AR. Very inspiring!

Knock Knock . . .

door knocker

I got this Nantucket Basket Michael Healy Door Knocker for our front door. It has a plastic insert that allows you to put live flowers inside – although when it is warm it is hard to keep anything in there alive. I don’t think anyone has used it for knocking, but it is super cute!

My avatar sort of looks like me. They didn’t have a hat w/long curly hair option so I have straight hair . . . wishful thinking. Also, they didn’t really have a cat option that looked like Kitty Kelly.

Mets Apron
I stitched an apron for my cousin’s engagement gift. They both happen to be obsessed with the Mets. It was hard for me to work on the NY symbol being a Red Sox fan, but at least it wasn’t the Yankees. I tried a chain stitch for the first time and was pleased with how the border came out.

Cheeto’s Lip Balm

I happen to be a Blistex addict, but I feel like no chapstick, would be better than Cheetos Lip Balm.
